HepAnB is an antiviral medication primarily used in the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections. It is part of a class of drugs known as nucleos(t)ide analogues, which work by inhibiting the reverse transcriptase enzyme essential for HBV replication. The active ingredient in HepAnB is tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, a prodrug that is converted in the body to tenofovir, an active metabolite.
