Handgelenksfalte
The Handgelenksfalte, also known as the wrist crease or distal wrist crease, refers to the prominent lines or folds on the palmar (palm) side of the wrist. Humans typically have two or three distinct wrist creases. The most proximal crease, closest to the hand, is generally the most defined. The number and prominence of these creases can vary among individuals.
These creases are formed during embryonic development as the hand and wrist structures fold and differentiate.
