Hammasratassüsteem
Hammasratassüsteem, commonly referred to as a gear system, is a mechanical system consisting of two or more meshing gears that transmit torque and motion from one shaft to another. The teeth on the circumference of each gear interlock, causing them to rotate together. When one gear, the input gear, rotates, it forces the other gear, the output gear, to rotate as well. The ratio of the number of teeth on the gears determines the speed and torque transformation. A smaller gear driving a larger gear will reduce the speed but increase the torque, while a larger gear driving a smaller gear will increase the speed and decrease the torque.
Gear systems are fundamental components in a vast array of mechanical devices, from simple clocks and bicycles
