Hammasülekande
Hammasülekande is an Estonian term referring to gear transmission. It is a mechanical system used to transmit rotational motion and torque between two or more rotating shafts, where the driving shaft is connected to a gear that meshes with one or more driven gears. The teeth on the gears engage with each other, causing the driven gear to rotate at a different speed and torque than the driving gear.
The primary function of a hammasülekande is to change the speed and torque of a rotating component.
Hammasülekanded are ubiquitous in mechanical engineering and are found in a vast array of applications. Examples
