Halvtäckare

Halvtäckare is a Swedish term referring to a type of residential building, typically an apartment block, characterized by its layout. The name "halvtäckare" translates to "half-coverer" or "semi-coverer," which describes its architectural form. These buildings are designed to cover only a portion of the plot, often leaving significant open space for courtyards, gardens, or recreational areas.

The design of a halvtäckare usually involves a building footprint that is not a solid rectangle or square. Instead, it might be L-shaped, U-shaped, or feature other angular or recessed sections.
