Halftransparent

Halftransparent refers to a property of matter that allows some light to pass through it, but not enough to see objects clearly on the other side. This is distinct from transparent materials, which allow light to pass through unimpeded, and opaque materials, which block light entirely. The degree of translucency can vary greatly, from being almost transparent to almost opaque.
