Hajtásos

Hajtásos is a Hungarian adjective used to describe devices, systems, or machines that include a drive source providing propulsion. The term is formed from hajtás, meaning drive or propulsion, with the suffix -os to designate a characteristic. In technical and everyday language it signals that motion is generated by an energy source and transmitted to a driven element such as wheels, shafts, or actuated components.

In engineering contexts hajtásos systems typically consist of a power source (engine, motor, or actuator) and a transmission or linkage that delivers motion to the driven part. The concept is central to drivetrain design and is used to distinguish powered arrangements from non-powered or manually operated ones. Common types of hajtásos arrangements include mechanical drives, electric drives, and fluid-driven systems. Mechanikai hajtásos rendszerek use gears, belts, or chains to transfer torque.
