Hainich
Hainich is a forested hill region in central Germany, located in the state of Thuringia. The area is best known for the Hainich National Park, a protected temperate deciduous forest that preserves one of Europe’s largest continuous stands of beech (Fagus sylvatica). The park hosts a landscape of rocky outcrops, mixed deciduous forest and cultivated clearings, and lies to the west of the town of Bad Langensalza, with parts extending toward Mühlhausen.
