The term appears in speculative discussions aimed at understanding how new strong dynamics could generate exotic hadrons beyond conventional baryons and mesons. In these models, a hidden sector contributes additional binding through a non-Abelian gauge interaction, producing hadronlardirs that carry ordinary quark flavors but also reveal distinctive signatures from the hidden sector.

Typical envisaged properties include a mass spectrum that lies above common light baryons, and decay patterns that may involve both standard hadrons and hidden-sector mediators.
