The Habsburg-Ottoman Wars were a series of conflicts fought between the Habsburg Monarchy and the Ottoman Empire. These wars spanned several centuries, beginning in the late 15th century and continuing intermittently until the early 18th century. The primary theater of conflict was the Balkan Peninsula, though battles also took place in Hungary and the Mediterranean.

The origins of these wars lie in the expanding Ottoman Empire's conquest of former Byzantine territories and its subsequent push into Central Europe. The Habsburgs, as rulers of the Holy Roman Empire and later the Austrian Empire, became the principal bulwark against Ottoman advance into Western Europe. Key early confrontations included the Ottoman Siege of Vienna in 1529, which was a major turning point, marking the furthest extent of Ottoman territorial ambitions in Central Europe.

Throughout the centuries, the conflicts were characterized by sieges, pitched battles, and naval engagements. Major campaigns included the Long Turkish War (1593-1606) and the Great Turkish War (1683-1699). The latter culminated in the decisive Battle of Vienna in 1683, a significant defeat for the Ottomans, and the subsequent Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699, which resulted in substantial territorial losses for the Ottoman Empire in Europe and marked the beginning of their long decline. While direct warfare between the two powers largely ceased after this period, tensions and border skirmishes continued for some time.
