Hablado

Hablado is the past participle of the Spanish verb hablar (to speak). It serves two main functions in Spanish: as part of compound tenses built with haber (for example, he hablado, has hablado, ha hablado, hemos hablado, habéis hablado, han hablado) and as an adjective that agrees in gender and number (hablado, hablada, hablados, habladas). When used as an adjective, it describes something that is spoken rather than written, such as a relato hablado or un texto hablado.

Etymology and related forms: Hablar derives from Latin and the Romance verb formation using the suffix -ado

Usage notes: In everyday Spanish, hablado is most common in perfect tenses with haber and in adjectival

Examples:

- Ya he hablado con ella sobre el proyecto.

- Este informe es un resumen hablado para la audiencia local.

- Un relato hablado puede complementar un texto escrito.
