Hækkaða

Hækkaða is an Icelandic word related to the verb hækka, which means to raise or to increase. In standard Icelandic grammar, it is not one of the common contemporary past participle forms used in everyday writing. The form hækkaða is often described as a feminine singular past participle form, but in modern usage the standard feminine past participle of hækka is usually hækkuð, and hækkað is used for neuter. Because of this, hækkaða tends to appear mainly in historical texts, older orthography, or certain dialectal environments, rather than in current formal Icelandic.

As an adjective, hækkaða would be used to describe a feminine noun and convey the sense that something has been raised or increased.
