Over time, the root cutting will develop adventitious buds, which will sprout into shoots. Simultaneously, new roots will form from the cutting, establishing the foundation for the new plant. The success rate of propagation by root cuttings can vary significantly depending on the plant species, the time of year the cuttings are taken, and the environmental conditions provided.
