There is no cure for Guillain-Barré syndrome, but treatments can help manage symptoms and speed recovery. These include immunotherapy, such as intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) or plasma exchange, to remove antibodies attacking the nerves. Physical therapy is crucial for regaining muscle strength and function. Most people recover from Guillain-Barré syndrome, though some may experience long-term weakness or other complications. The recovery process can be lengthy, often taking months or even years. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for improving outcomes.
