Grønfjorden
Grønfjorden is a narrow fjord situated in the southeastern part of Norway, extending from the inner part of the Oslofjord into the municipality of Våler in Østfold county. The fjord stretches roughly 7 kilometers from its entrance near the village of Bredsand southward to its inland terminus at the small community of Grøn. At its widest point it measures about 800 metres, with a maximum depth of approximately 85 metres near the head of the fjord. The shoreline is characterized by a mixture of steep cliffs composed of ancient metamorphic rocks and gently sloping sandy beaches, especially near the village areas.
