Grænseidé
Grænseidé is a Danish term used to describe an idea that defines or tests boundaries between concepts, disciplines, or social practices. Etymologically, grænse means boundary or border, and idé means idea. In Danish academic and public discourse, grænseidé often refers to a proposal or conceptual framework that seeks to extend or redefine limits, rather than to a finished project.
Applications of the concept span multiple fields. In academia, a grænseidé can denote boundary-crossing research programs
Critics note that the term risks vagueness and politicization; its precise meaning depends on context and speaker.
