Grova

Grova is a fictional city in the western region of the republic of Veridia. Located along the Grova River, it covers about 120 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 62,000 in 2023. The city functions as a regional center for commerce, higher education, and public administration. Its historic core blends medieval streets with 20th‑century civic architecture.

Grova traces its origins to a medieval market town established near a river ford. It grew through the industrial era, diversified after World War II, and expanded again following administrative reforms in the 1990s and early 2000s. The surrounding landscape is gently rolling, with parks and riverside habitats shaping urban planning. The climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters, warm summers, and about 700–800 millimeters of precipitation annually.

Grova is governed by a directly elected mayor and a 40‑member municipal council elected to four‑year terms. The council oversees public services, planning, and local regulations.
