Grossstrubel

Grossstrubel is a mountain in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland. It is located on the border between the cantons of Bern and Valais. The summit stands at an elevation of 3,244 meters (10,643 feet) above sea level. Its name translates to "large upheaval" or "great turbulence," hinting at its rugged appearance.

The mountain is part of the Doldenhorn group and is known for its challenging climbing routes. It is a popular destination for experienced mountaineers, particularly during the summer months. The ascent typically involves navigating glaciers and rocky terrain. Various routes exist, with the Normal Route often starting from the Doldenhorn Hut.

The Grossstrubel massif features several peaks, with the main summit being the highest. The surrounding landscape is characterized by glaciers, steep cliffs, and alpine meadows.
