Geography and population The Graylian realm is described as a temperate continental land with river valleys, mixed forests, and upland plateaus. The heartland centers on a river basin system, with peripheral regions that function as distinct cultural pockets. In most depictions, Graylia is inhabited by a few million people living in a mix of urban centers and rural communities, connected through regional trade routes.

History and politics Graylian history in fictional narratives often traces the rise of city-states that later formed a regional confederation known as the Graylian Union. Modern governance is typically depicted as a constitutional federation of council-led city-states, with urban guilds and civic assemblies playing influential roles in policy and economy.
