Granittisuchus
Granittisuchus is a genus of extinct crocodyliform that lived during the Late Triassic period. Fossil remains of Granittisuchus have been discovered in Argentina, specifically within the Ischigualasto Formation. This formation is renowned for its exceptionally preserved early dinosaur and crocodylomorph fossils. Granittisuchus is classified within the pseudosuchian lineage, placing it among the close relatives of modern crocodilians but predating their diversification.
The genus Granittisuchus is characterized by certain anatomical features that distinguish it from other early crocodyliforms.
The discovery of Granittisuchus contributes to our understanding of the evolutionary history and diversification of crocodylomorphs
