Grammarikäsituste, also known as grammatical frameworks or grammatical theories, are systematic approaches to the study of language structure and its components. These frameworks provide a structured way to analyze and describe the rules and principles that govern the formation of sentences and the relationships between words. Grammarikäsituste can be categorized into several types, each offering a unique perspective on language.

One of the most well-known grammatical frameworks is transformational-generative grammar, developed by Noam Chomsky. This approach focuses on the underlying structure of sentences, known as deep structure, and how it is transformed into surface structure through a series of rules. Another prominent framework is dependency grammar, which emphasizes the relationships between words rather than their hierarchical structure. This framework is particularly useful for languages that do not fit neatly into the traditional subject-verb-object structure.

Other notable grammatical frameworks include systemic functional grammar, which focuses on the functions of language in social contexts, and construction grammar, which views language as a collection of form-meaning pairings called constructions.
