Gorvoths

Gorvoths are a fictional species native to the planet Xylos in the Andromeda galaxy. They are known for their unique physiology, which allows them to thrive in Xylos's extreme environmental conditions, characterized by high atmospheric pressure and a methane-rich atmosphere. Gorvoths possess a silicon-based skeletal structure and a complex circulatory system that utilizes a cryogenic fluid instead of blood.

Their external appearance is best described as a quadrupedal reptilian, with a thick, leathery hide that provides protection against the planet's abrasive dust storms. Gorvoths communicate through a series of subsonic vibrations and bioluminescent patterns emitted from specialized organs on their heads. They are primarily herbivorous, feeding on the hardy, crystalline flora that grows on Xylos.

Socially, Gorvoths live in communal burrows, where they exhibit a matriarchal society. Reproduction is oviparous, with the young being cared for by the entire community.
