Gopala
Gopala is a Sanskrit name meaning protector or caretaker of cows, derived from go (cow) and pala (protector). It is used as an epithet of Lord Krishna, especially in his childhood avatar as a cowherd in Vrindavan, and it also designates a form of Krishna worshiped as a deity in several traditions.
