Godalming

Godalming is a market town in the borough of Waverley in Surrey, England, situated in the Surrey Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town lies about 4 miles southwest of Guildford and 34 miles southwest of London. Its origins can be traced back to Anglo-Saxon times, and it received a charter from King Alfred the Great in the 9th century.
