Gjuhësimi is an Albanian lexical item that derives from the noun *gjuhë* (language) combined with the suffix *-im*, forming a noun that denotes the act or process of verbal expression or speaking. The term is chiefly used in contemporary Albanian to refer to the act of articulating thoughts, presenting oral discourse, or making a statement in spoken form. It can also be employed more generally to describe the transformation of written or conceptual content into spoken words.

Etymologically, *gjuhësim* follows the pattern of other Albanian verbal nouns such as *shpërximet* (exhibition) and *muzikimit* (music-making). The suffix *-ësimi* contracts to *-shimi* in the genitive, giving *gjuhësimin* in standard grammar. The word appears in dictionaries of standard Albanian, such as the *Kuvendi Shqiptar* and the *Felegrimi Albanese*, where it is defined as "the process of speaking" and used in contexts ranging from casual conversation to formal oratory.
