Gipsbindemidler
Gipsbindemidler, often translated as gypsum binders, are substances primarily composed of gypsum. Gypsum itself is a sulfate mineral with the chemical formula CaSO4·2H2O. In its natural form, it is a soft, white or grayish mineral. When heated, gypsum undergoes dehydration, losing some or all of its water molecules, transforming into plaster of Paris (calcium sulfate hemihydrate, CaSO4·½H2O) or anhydrous calcium sulfate (CaSO4).
These dehydrated forms are the key components of gipsbindemidler. When mixed with water, they rehydrate, undergoing
