Gimba
Gimba refers to a type of traditional musical instrument found in various parts of Africa, particularly in West Africa. It is a plucked string instrument, often described as a lute or a lyre. The construction of a gimba typically involves a gourd or wooden body, over which animal skin is stretched to form a resonating surface. A neck, usually made of wood, is attached, and one or more strings are stretched from a bridge on the body to tuning pegs at the end of the neck.
