Gewindestifte, also known as setscrews, are headless screws that are threaded internally and used to secure an object within or against another object. They are typically tightened by means of an internal hexagonal socket or a slot. Unlike bolts or cap screws, Gewindestifte do not protrude from the object they are securing. Their primary function is to prevent relative motion between two parts, such as stopping a pulley from rotating on a shaft.
