Gesserians

The Gesserit are a fictional sisterhood featured in Frank Herbert's Dune series. They are a highly disciplined order of women with extraordinary physical and mental abilities, honed through rigorous training from childhood. Their abilities include advanced combat skills, voice manipulation (the ability to control others through vocal commands), and precognition, which allows them to glimpse possible futures. The Gesserit play a significant role throughout the Dune saga, often acting behind the scenes to manipulate political events and guide the evolution of humanity.

The Bene Gesserit, as they are also known, follow a strict set of traditions and a complex breeding program aimed at producing a superhuman male, the Kwisatz Haderach, who would possess the combined abilities of both men and women and be able to traverse space and time. Their influence extends to many of the planets in the Imperium, and they are known for their political astuteness and their ability to infiltrate and influence various power structures. Their ultimate goals are multifaceted, involving the preservation and advancement of humanity, but also their own power and survival. They are revered and feared by many throughout the galaxy.
