Geokätkentää
Geokätkentää is the Finnish term for geocaching, a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players use a GPS device or a smartphone with a GPS-enabled application to navigate to specific coordinates. At these coordinates, players find a hidden geocache, which is typically a container holding a logbook and often small trinkets. Participants sign the logbook to mark their find and may trade trinkets if they wish. The primary goal is to locate the hidden cache.
The game was invented by Dave Ulmer in May 2000 and has since become a global activity.
