Geirangerfjorden
Geirangerfjorden is a fjord in western Norway, located in Møre og Romsdal county within Stranda Municipality. It forms a branch of the larger Storfjorden and extends roughly 15 kilometers from its mouth near the village of Geiranger to its innermost reaches among steep mountain walls. The scenery is characterized by dramatic vertical cliffs and a series of iconic waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters, the Suitor, and the Bridal Veil, which cascade down the fjord’s sides.
Geologically, the fjord was carved by glacial processes during the Ice Ages, producing a deep, narrow valley
Geirangerfjorden is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site West Norwegian Fjords, designated in 2005 in conjunction
