Geeniekspression

Geeniekspression is a rare and poorly understood neurological disorder characterized by an abnormal expression of facial musculature. This results in aberrant facial postures, which can range from mild to severe. The condition appears to be more prevalent in individuals with a family history of neurological disorders.

One of the hallmark symptoms of Geeniekspression is a "smiling face" even in the absence of any visible or obvious cause for a smile. This is due to involuntary contractions of the zygomaticus major muscle, which is responsible for elevating the corners of the mouth. In some cases, patients may also exhibit excessive wrinkling of the forehead and eyelids.
