Gaztelugatxe
Gaztelugatxe is a small islet located off the coast of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Biscay, in the Basque Country, Spain. It is famous for the hermitage of San Juan Bautista (Saint John the Baptist) that sits atop its highest point. The name Gaztelugatxe comes from the Basque words "gaztelu" meaning castle and "aitz" meaning rock, thus "castle rock."
Access to the hermitage is via a winding stone staircase consisting of over 200 steps. Legend states
