Gaxmargy
Gaxmargy is a genus of extinct amphibians that lived during the Late Triassic period, approximately 208 to 205 million years ago. Fossil remains attributed to this genus were first uncovered in the Midway Group of the Fort Hays Basin in western Kansas, United States. The type species, Gaxmargy robustus, was formally described in 2015 by paleontologists from the University of Nebraska. Stratigraphic analysis places the specimens in the Upper sedimentary layers of the Iva Cans Formation, which are known for a diversity of early amphibian fauna.
