Gassbaserte

Gassbaserte is a Norwegian term used as an adjective to describe systems, processes, fuels or materials that rely on gas as a feedstock or energy carrier. It is commonly found in technical, industrial and policy contexts to distinguish gas-based solutions from liquid- or solid-based alternatives.

In energy and industry, gassbaserte solutions include natural gas-fired power plants, gas turbines, and systems for combined heat and power. They also encompass processes that use gas as a feedstock, such as steam methane reforming to produce hydrogen for chemical synthesis. Biogas and synthetic gas (syngas) are examples of gas sources that can underpin gassbaserte applications, including electricity generation, heat production, and chemical manufacturing.
