Gardaí
The Garda Síochána, commonly known as the Gardaí or simply the Guards, is the national police force of the Republic of Ireland. Its headquarters are located at Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin. The organization is responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing and detecting crime, and protecting the public throughout the country. The Gardaí operate under the authority of the Department of Justice.
