Gammadose
Gammadose is a term used to refer to the amount of energy deposited by gamma radiation in a material, commonly expressed as the absorbed dose in grays (Gy). When considering biological effect, the dose is often expressed as an equivalent dose or effective dose in sieverts (Sv), which accounts for the biological impact of the radiation. For gamma rays, the radiation weighting factor is 1, so 1 Gy of gamma-ray absorbed dose corresponds to 1 Sv of equivalent dose in soft tissue.
