GE90

GE90 is a family of high-thrust turbofan engines developed by GE Aviation for Boeing 777 airliners. When introduced, the GE90-115B became the most powerful commercial jet engine in service, delivering about 115,000 pounds of thrust. The engine powers the Boeing 777-300ER and 777-200LR, enabling long-range, heavy-payload flights with a high bypass ratio and a large-diameter fan.

Variants and design: The GE90 family includes several variants, notably the GE90-110B1 and the GE90-115B. The -110B1 served earlier 777 models, while the -115B became the standard for the 777-300ER and 777-200LR. The GE90 incorporates advanced materials and manufacturing, full authority digital engine control (FADEC), and design choices that emphasize power, efficiency, and reliability. The program also laid the technical groundwork for GE’s next-generation GEnx engines.
