Fülltexte

Fülltexte, also known as placeholder text or dummy text, are temporary content used in design and layout mockups. They serve to visually represent how final text will appear within a design without using actual, meaningful content. This allows designers and clients to focus on the visual aspects of a layout, such as typography, spacing, and overall structure, without being distracted by the message of the text itself.

The most common type of Fülltext is Lorem ipsum. Lorem ipsum is a Latin-derived text that appears to be nonsensical but has been used for centuries in the printing and typesetting industries. Its advantage lies in its semblance of real text, with varying word lengths and sentence structures, which provides a realistic representation of how a finished page will look. Other forms of Fülltext exist, including simple repeated phrases or even random character strings, but Lorem ipsum remains the industry standard due to its established use and the realistic visual balance it provides.

The purpose of Fülltext is purely visual. It prevents the incomplete content from influencing design decisions, ensuring that the layout is judged on its own merits. When the final content is ready, the Fülltext is replaced with the actual information. This process is crucial in web design, print layout, and any other field where visual presentation is key before the final content is finalized.
