Földmozgás

Földmozgás is the Hungarian term for earth movement or ground movement. It generally refers to the displacement or deformation of the Earth's surface. This can encompass a wide range of natural phenomena, from slow, gradual processes to rapid, catastrophic events.

One common type of földmozgás is subsidence, where the ground level sinks. This can occur due to natural causes like the dissolution of underlying rock formations (e.g., karstification) or the compaction of soil. However, human activities, such as excessive groundwater extraction or underground mining, are also significant contributors to subsidence.
