Fékhatékonyság refers to the effectiveness of a braking system in decelerating a vehicle. It is a critical aspect of vehicle safety, directly impacting the distance required to stop and the ability to avoid collisions. This efficiency is influenced by a variety of factors, including the condition of the brake components, the tire-road friction, the vehicle's speed and weight, and the driver's application of the brakes.

Key components that contribute to fékhatékonyság include the brake pads, rotors or drums, brake fluid, and the hydraulic system. Wear and tear on these parts can significantly reduce braking performance.
