Funambules
Funambules is a term derived from the French word for tightrope walker. It broadly refers to individuals who practice or perform on a tightrope, a rope or cable stretched at a height for balancing. This activity, known as funambulism, requires immense skill, balance, coordination, and focus. Funambulists can perform various tricks and maneuvers, often in a circus setting or as part of street entertainment. The practice has a long history, with evidence of its existence in ancient cultures across the globe.
Modern funambulism encompasses a wide range of disciplines, from traditional circus acts to contemporary performance art.
