Fullfoder

Fullfoder, or complete feed, is a nutritionally balanced feed formulated to meet all the dietary requirements of a specific animal species or production stage. It is designed to serve as the sole ration or the primary base of the diet, so that additional feed ingredients are not routinely needed to reach nutritional goals. Complete feeds are commonly used for livestock such as cattle, pigs, poultry, and small ruminants, and they can be tailored for maintenance, growth, production, or reproductive needs.

A complete feed typically contains a mixture of energy sources (such as cereals or fats), protein sources (like soybean or other meal products), fiber, and a premix of minerals and vitamins to ensure essential micronutrient intake. It may also include feed additives for health, palatability, or performance. The product can be delivered as pellets, crumbles, or mash, and formulations are adjusted to target age, species, and production stage. For ruminants, guidelines often consider rumen function and fibre requirements; for monogastric species, digestibility and amino acid balance are emphasized.

Production and regulation are handled by feed mills, with quality control and labeling that specify ingredients, guaranteed analyses (protein, fiber, energy), and feeding recommendations. Storage, handling, and hygiene are important to maintain nutrient integrity and prevent spoilage. Fullfoder is distinguished from mixes or supplements intended to be combined with other feeds, though its use presets guidance for overall diet planning in commercial farming.
