Fukushima Prefecture is a prefecture in the Tōhoku region of northern Honshu, Japan. Its capital is the city of Fukushima. The prefecture extends from the Pacific coast in the east to a rugged interior in the west and is traditionally divided into three subregions: Hamadōri in the east, Nakadōri in the center, and Aizu in the west.
