Frågors

Frågors is a term used in dialogue design to describe a class of structured question prompts intended to elicit detailed, targeted responses. The concept is applied across education, journalism training, and human–computer interaction to improve information gathering and reasoning. A frågors typically consists of three elements: a primary interrogative, contextual qualifiers that set scope and angle, and a response cue that suggests the preferred form or depth of the answer.

Variants include direct frågors (explicit questions), indirect or rhetorical frågors (inviting reflection without requiring a direct answer), and multi-part frågors (linking several sub-questions to guide a comprehensive response). In practice, frågors are used to reduce ambiguity, structure conversations, and facilitate consistent data collection in interviews or AI prompts.

In education, teachers use frågors to scaffold student reasoning and to train evaluative thinking. In AI and chatbot design, practitioners employ frågors as prompts that balance openness with constraints, improving explainability and user satisfaction. Critics note that the effectiveness of frågors depends on careful framing; overly constrained prompts can miss nuances, while vague prompts may fail to guide responses.
