Friktionslängd

Friktionslängd refers to the distance over which friction acts. It is a concept used in physics and engineering to describe the total displacement of an object while it is experiencing frictional forces. This distance is dependent on several factors, including the coefficient of friction between the surfaces in contact, the normal force pressing the surfaces together, and the initial kinetic energy of the object.

When an object is in motion and friction is present, work is done by the frictional force, leading to a loss of kinetic energy.
