Frijic

Frijic is a fictional town in the central lowlands of Veridia. It serves as the administrative seat of Frijic District and lies along the Frijic River, about 60 kilometers from Veridia's regional capital. The town has a temperate climate with four distinct seasons and surrounding farmland, mixed woodland, and gentle hills.

Founded in the late 18th century as a trading post, Frijic grew with river and road links and was incorporated as a municipality in 1843. Its economy has traditionally centered on agriculture, timber, and milling. In the modern era, Frijic hosts agro-processing facilities and light manufacturing, supported by a modest service sector.

As of the last census, the population is around 11,000 residents. The community is predominantly Veridian, with small immigrant and transient populations. Veridian is the official language; English and minority languages are spoken by portions of the community. The local government operates under a mayor-council system, with a council elected to four-year terms.

Culturally, Frijic hosts an annual autumn Frijic Fair and a summer river festival. Landmarks include the Old Mill site on the river, the Frijic Town Hall, and St. Elena Cathedral. Transportation options include regional road connections and a nearby rail line; the nearest airport is in the regional capital. Education is provided by two primary schools, one secondary school, and a small vocational college.
