Frequenzselektivität
Frequenzselektivität refers to the ability of a system or device to respond differently to different frequencies. In many technical contexts, this means favoring or attenuating certain frequencies while passing others. For example, a radio receiver is designed to be frequency-selective, allowing it to tune into a specific radio station's broadcast frequency while ignoring others. Filters are a common electronic component that exhibit frequency selectivity, either by allowing low frequencies to pass (low-pass filter), high frequencies to pass (high-pass filter), or a specific band of frequencies to pass (band-pass filter).
The concept is also relevant in acoustics, where the frequency selectivity of a room or a microphone
