Framvind

Framvind is a fictional town and municipality in the northern region of Nordmark. It lies along the Fram River and serves as the administrative center of Framvind Municipality.

The site shows evidence of settlement since the early medieval era, with a market town charter granted in the 13th century. Its port grew during the late medieval period, enabling trade in timber and linens.

Framvind covers hilly terrain with a river valley and a temperate maritime climate. The economy relies on light manufacturing, logistics, and services; agriculture thrives in surrounding valleys; tourism centers on the historic core and riverfront walks.

Framvind has a mayor-council government. The municipal council consists of 17 members elected for four-year terms. The population is ethnically homogeneous with recent growth from regional migration; age distribution skews toward middle-aged and older residents.

Cultural life centers on the town hall, a 16th-century church, the maritime museum, and the annual Framvind Day festival.

Framvind is connected by a regional rail line and a national road network; the nearest international airport is in the adjacent city.
