Framkommer

Framkommer is a Swedish verb meaning to emerge, become evident, or come to light. It is commonly used in formal writing and journalism to indicate that information has been revealed or become known.

The verb is a compound formed from fram- (forward) and komma (to come). The infinitive is framkomma. Its present tense is framkommer, as in Det framkommer i rapporten att… (“It emerges in the report that…”). The past tense is framkom, and the present perfect uses the past participle framkommit (Det har framkommit att… “It has emerged that…”). The present participle is framkommande.

Use and register: Framkommer is typically employed in analytic, legal, academic, or journalistic contexts. It conveys that findings, observations, or conclusions have been established through investigation, calculation, or analysis. It is often used with det as the grammatical subject and followed by a clause introduced by att.
